WHAT IS HEART + HAIR HAPPY HOUR AND WHEN/WHY DID YOU START IT?

Happy Hour was created as a way to connect with women in the hair loss community during a time where we have been mandated to shelter in place due to the global pandemic, Covid-19. Our first Happy Hour was on March 23, 2020—approximately 2 weeks after shelter in place orders began.

It has evolved into a platform to share knowledge and conduct demos from industry experts expanding beyond even our team at Heart + Hair. The time together is meant to be collaborative, supportive and productive.

Heart + Hair will continue to partner with other alternative hair educators, manufacturers, stylists and retailers who share our same passion and vision in helping women with hair loss. Our collective goal in partnering up is to be in service to this community by offering free alternative education, a place to connect with other women with hair loss and for us to continue to be in service to a community we are grateful to serve as we find new ways to do so.

Nope! All are welcome.


ARE YOU GOING TO TRY TO SELL ME SOMETHING DURING HAPPY HOUR?

Nope! Not at all. Happy Hour is about education and sharing.


WHAT ARE THE TOPICS?

We envision the topics changing each week –and we also envision the format to evolve as most education platforms do. Our first Happy Hour was really just a way to gage interest and see what women may want to discuss. We see if evolving into topics women wearing hair, regardless of where they are at in their hair loss journey, need to learn the most. Hair care, styling, measuring, cap construction, product innovation, adhesives and bonding, color matching, alterations, and customizations. We also hope to feature women who are willing to share their hair loss journey. Hearing women share their story helps others feel less alone, assists in avoiding common pitfalls, and allows a platform to ask questions. We believe it will continue to grow a true sense of community.


WHAT ARE SOME TOPICS COVERED DURING HAPPY HOUR AND WHAT CAN EXPECT FOR THE FUTURE?

On March 30th we had Diana Ford as our Featured Guest demonstrate how to re-direct knots, discuss adhesives and tips for cutting a fringe into your wig or topper.

On April 6th, Kelli Tyler & Diana Ford conducted live demos on human hair blow outs and curling techniques for best rest results.

We look forward to Lisa Minervini, CMO at Jon Renau, being our Featured Guest on 4/13/20 and Juan Cardenas being our Featured Guest on 4/20/20 sharing his extensive knowledge on hair replacement, specifically long hair bonding. Both Lisa & Juan are icons in the hair loss industry. We are REALLY excited to hear them speak.

DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?

Nope!


AM I EXPECTED TO SPEAK/PARTICIPATE IF I ATTEND?

While we do encourage our attendees to engage in the conversation, it is 100% up to the attendee how they participate. Questions are highly encouraged as we want everyone to get the most our of their time.
