LACE FRONTS

Dec 1st 2019

Do you want or need a lace front?

  • If you want to show your front hairline, you will probably want a lace front.
  • If you were a fringe, you may not need a lace front.

What should you know about how to properly care for your lace front?

  • Measure your head to determine you are buying the right size. If you wig is too small, fraying may happen!
  • Pay close attention to how you are putting your wig on and/or adjusting through out the day.
  • Sliding your thumbs/fingers under the lace front will cause damage
  • Carefully apply/adjust your wig using the ear tabs

Watch this video tutorial for how to properly put on a wig to prevent damaging your lace front:

Use proper styling tools:

  • Styling tools that are rigid and/or sharp will tear any hand tied areas
  • Use the Jon Renau Paddle Brush and/or Wide Tooth Comb (depending on fiber) on any hand tied areas

What happens if it frays?

Reach out to us! We can help you determine if we can repair it or if we recommend sending it to the factory to have it repaired.

Fun Fact:  Jon Renau lace front wigs and toppers come ready to wear, meaning they do not require cutting or trimming and can be worn directly out of the box.  If you do notice the lace front would serve you better by being trimmed, it is imperative that you use https://www.heartandhair.com/jon-renau-pinking-shears/ to avoid fraying.
