Heart + HAIR recommends washing your wig or hairpiece every 6-8 full day wears. Washing your system every 6-8 wears will remove all oils and build up that will break down the cap and the hair if not cleansed regularly. 90% of concerns regarding human hair care are connected to improper care.

STEP 1: Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles with your Jon Renau Paddle Wig Brush or Wide Tooth Comb.
STEP 2: Hold your wig or hairpiece under running cool water and set aside.
STEP 3: Emulsify about a quarter sized amount of Jon Renau Argan Luxury Shampoo into your hands (use slightly more for longer styles and slightly less for small/shorter toppers). Gently lather the hair with shampoo while making sure that the hair traveling in the same direction. DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling and damage to the wig cap.
STEP 4: Rinse thoroughly under cool water until water runs clear. Gently squeeze excess water out. Then apply about a quarter sized amount of Jon Renau Argan Luxury Conditioner which is specially formulated and tested to support the vitality and moisture levels of alternative human hair. Leave on for a few minutes (careful not to get conditioner on cap near the knots as it will loosen then).
RINSE & DRY:
STEP 5: Rinse thoroughly under cool water until water runs clear. Gently squeeze excess water out. Set wig on a towel and gently roll up, lightly squeezing the water out again.
STEP 6: Spray approximately 4 pumps of Jon Renau Argan Smooth Treatment Mist towards the bottom 1/2 of the wig. Be careful not to spray on the cap as it will loosen the knots. Part your wig and comb into desired style. Set on your plastic wig stand for 8-24 hours. Do not dry on your canvas block head, this will result in the cap stretching. Only let your wig dry on your plastic wig stand.
STEP 7: Spritz with water to dampen hair. Apply Jon Renau Blown Away Blow Dry Balm.
STEP 8: Attach wig, topper or extensions to your canvas blockhead with T-pins carefully placed in ear tabs, or other areas that are not part of the hand tied cap.
STEP 9: Section hair into 4-8 segments and blow dry each segment until dry using your boar bristle brush to smooth cuticle.
STEP 10: Section hair into 4-8 segments, spray each section with a pump of Jon Renau Thermal Heat Treat Spray and heat style each segment until desired result is achieved. Do not exceed 330-350 degrees farenheit when using a flat iron or curling iron.
